Dr. Jamie Gruman

Biography

Jamie Gruman is a Professor and a Senior Research Fellow at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, University of Guelph. He specializes in Organizational Behaviour and serves as the Graduate Coordinator for the PhD Program in Organizational Leadership. Dr. Gruman's academic journey includes teaching positions at the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor and the University of Toronto, as well as St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology. His research interests focus on workplace well-being, employee engagement, and positive organizational behavior, areas in which he is recognized as one of the world's leading experts. Dr. Gruman has been involved in numerous professional associations and is the founding Chair of the Canadian Positive Psychology Association. His contributions have been acknowledged through various awards including the CBE Senior Research Fellowship which honors outstanding research. He has authored numerous scholarly articles and books, including one on employee engagement and another on psychological capital in organizations. His work has been widely published and presented at both academic and practitioner conferences, showcasing his impact on contemporary HR practices. Dr. Gruman engages with media outlets and has been featured in notable publications, reflecting the relevance of his work in today’s business environment.
