Biography

Janet Knott is an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at Penn State University. With a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Carlow University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she has over 30 years of clinical practice and 25 years of Nursing Education experience. Janet is a certified Nurse Educator by the National League for Nursing and has played a significant role in mentoring pre-licensure nursing students. She currently teaches in the RN to BSN program and has taught various courses including Principles of Nursing Research, Advanced Health Assessment, and Introduction to Nursing Informatics. Her commitment to education is evident in her passion for sustainability and experiential learning in nursing. Janet encourages students to engage deeply with the material and helps them navigate their career paths in nursing.
