Biography

Janice Yeung is a Lecturer and the Director of the Office of Experiential Education at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, complemented by post-graduate residency training at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. Janice has practiced as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist within the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Vancouver General Hospital, and has served as a Residency Coordinator for the Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services. Currently, she leads the Faculty’s academic portfolio focused on experiential education, which includes programs like Entry-to-Practice PharmD, Flexible PharmD, and Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her administrative responsibilities also cover placements for international pharmacy graduates. Additionally, Janice has years of experience in teaching and mentoring students at various levels and is actively involved with the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board. Her research interests lie in workplace-based assessment, and she aims to enhance student learning through experiential education, aspiring to train and mentor future pharmacy professionals and leaders. Janice has received several awards for her contributions to pharmacy education and participates in multiple scholarly initiatives aimed at improving educational experiences for pharmacy students.
