She defended her thesis, 'Everyday Language Practices: The Interplay of Ideologies, Investment, and Identities in Language Use Dispositions among Young Adolescents in Multilingual Urban Settings,' in December 2022. This study, conducted between 2019 and 2021, examined the language practices of young people in grades six and seven within multilingual segregated areas of Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö. Currently, she is involved in projects that investigate language use in recruitment processes within municipal services and the linguistic experiences of young Swedes learning English.
