Dr. Jeffrey Gandz

Biography

Jeffrey Gandz is a Professor Emeritus at the Ivey Business School, Western University, specializing in Strategic Leadership. He has an extensive background in the fields of Business, Economics, and Public Policy. With a career spanning several decades, he has authored numerous case studies that are widely utilized in both corporate and academic settings. He earned his MBA and PhD from York University (Schulich School of Business) and has taught in various programs including Ivey's MBA, Executive MBA, and HBA programs. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has served as a visiting professor at the Darden School, University of Virginia, and has held various prestigious positions including director of the MBA program and associate dean of programs at Ivey. His research interests focus on the development of leaders within organizations and the impact of economic, political, and societal changes on strategic and operational challenges faced by business leaders. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and has consulted on issues related to organizational design and talent development for both private and public sector organizations. Gandz is also actively involved in several boards, including the Maple Leaf Foods Inc. and the Canadian Medical Association Holdings.
