Biography

Jeffrey K. Liker is a Professor Emeritus in Industrial Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. He has authored and co-authored 85 articles, book chapters, and thirteen books, which collectively sold 1.5 million copies. His best-selling book, 'The Toyota Way: 14 Management Principles from the World's Greatest Manufacturer', published by McGraw-Hill in 2004, explores the underlying philosophy and principles that drive Toyota's quality and efficiency-obsessed culture. Liker has edited 'Becoming Lean: Experiences of U.S. Manufacturers', which won the 1998 Shingo Prize for excellence in manufacturing research.
