Dr. Jehan Suleiman

Biography

Dr. Jehan Suleiman is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics with extensive professional experience both in Australia and overseas. He completed his specialization in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology, including an Epilepsy Fellowship at the Children's Hospital Westmead in Sydney, Australia. He holds a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology and earned his PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney. Dr. Suleiman offers care to children with neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders and is involved in multidisciplinary assessments for children suspected of having complex conditions such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). He teaches in the Graduate Certificate in Diagnosis and Assessment of FASD at the University of Western Australia, where he runs a nationwide clinic associated with the course. His research interests focus on pediatric neuroimmunology and neurogenetics, where he has published work related to conditions like the Suleiman-El-Hattab Syndrome. He also demonstrates expertise aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and academic qualifications in medicine.
