Biography

Jennifer (Jen) Dannals studies how people perceive groups, teams, and group interactions. Her main research stream explores how individuals perceive group behavior and particular group social norms. Her work additionally studies gender dynamics in organizations and how individuals make decisions within these contexts. Professor Dannals previously served as an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Management at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College from 2018 to 2022. She earned her Ph.D. from Stanford's Graduate School of Business in Organizational Behavior (Micro) and holds an A.B. in Psychology from Princeton University. Her research has been published in several reputable journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. She currently teaches the “Managing Groups and Teams” course in the MBA program at Yale School of Management.
