Biography

Jennifer R. Morrison is an Associate Research Professor and Deputy Director of Evaluation Research at the Center for Research and Reform in Education at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on instructional strategies, message-design strategies, and traditional technological environments. In her role at the Center, she leads mixed-methods research and evaluation projects that focus on instructional design, educational technology, and district-wide technology integration initiatives, aiming to improve content-area learning. Morrison has received grants from the Institute of Educational Sciences to conduct meta-analyses examining the effectiveness of educational technology in mathematics learning. She has also been awarded a master’s research scholarship from Old Dominion University’s Virginia Modeling, Analysis & Simulation Center, a doctoral research fellowship, and a master’s scholarship from the Association for Educational Communication and Technology. She has presented her research at local and national conferences and authored refereed journal articles. Additionally, she has served as a reviewer for the Educational Technology Research and Development Journal and as an assistant editor for the Journal of Computing in Higher Education.
