Dr. Jessica Sokolowski

Biography

Jessica Sokolowski is a long-term appointment professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa, where she focuses on arts-based experiential learning methods. Her research passion centers around providing access to the arts and the innovative integration of creativity in education. Jessica advocates for arts-based approaches in teaching, emphasizing inclusive education and social-emotional learning. She is involved in various initiatives, including leading the Imagination, Creativity & Innovation Cohort and participating as a member of the steering committee for the Canadian Network for Imagination and Creativity. Jessica's academic contributions are notable, with published works addressing multimodalities, literacy, performing arts, and creativity in education.
