Biography

Jili Sun received her B.A. in French literature from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (previously Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages) in the People's Republic of China. She completed her M.A. in Language Acquisition Pedagogy at the University of Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris III), with a thesis titled 'Comparison of Narrative Cohesion in French and Chinese Languages.' In 2006, she earned her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris III), focusing on 'The Acquisition of Temporality (Tense Aspect) by Chinese Learners of French and French Learners of Chinese.' Her research interests include language acquisition pedagogy, the interaction of language and culture, and narrative analysis, with an additional interest in religious studies, which she pursued at the Catholic Institute of Paris.
