Biography

Jiling Liu is a Clinical Associate Professor and Associate Department Head for Graduate Studies at Texas A&M University, with a focus on Kinesiology. She earned her Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2016 and joined the Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management as a Clinical Assistant Professor in 2017. Liu teaches undergraduate courses on Lifespan Motor Development and graduate research methods, implementing self-regulated learning and transformative practices in her teaching. Recognized for her dedication to education, Liu has received multiple awards, including the Excellent Teaching Award from the International Chinese Society of Physical Activities and Health, and the Provost Academic Professional Track Teaching Excellence Award at Texas A&M University. Liu's research interests include effective teaching strategies, self-regulated learning, motivation in physical activity, and measurement and evaluation in the field. She has authored and co-authored numerous papers published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and presented over fifty research abstracts at national and international conferences.
