Biography

Dr. Jimmy Gaudreault is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Université Laval. His research interests focus on advanced monitoring and intelligent control of biomanufacturing processes. He earned his PhD from Polytechnique Montréal in Chemical Engineering in 2024, where he developed innovative approaches utilizing surface plasmon resonance (SPR) for monitoring the quality of monoclonal antibodies produced in bioreactors. Following his doctoral studies, he undertook a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Research Council of Canada - Human Health Therapeutics, where he analyzed and modeled bioprocesses through the use of digital tools. Currently, Dr. Gaudreault's work aims to create an integrated platform dedicated to the development of digital twins, with a view toward optimizing and transforming biomanufacturing practices.
