Biography

Graduated from the University of Montreal at undergraduate and graduate levels (nursing) and at the doctoral level (public health, health promotion), she currently holds a position as an associate professor and vice-dean for undergraduate and continuing education at the Faculty of Nursing. Furthermore, married since 1975, she has two children. In the late 1970s, she worked in mental health (children and adults) and taught at a CEGEP. After completing her master's degree, she received training in marriage and family therapy. From 1983 to 2001, she occupied a position as a specialist nurse in primary care, in a family medicine unit associated with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montreal. Her first mandate was to familiarize future general practitioners with the systemic family approach. Since then, her career incorporates both clinical and educational aspects. She has contributed to the reform of the medical program at the University of Montreal and to the foundation of a research team focused on primary care. She has continued her role in reforming nursing education and leading various innovative research projects.
