Dr. Jonathon Cummings

Biography

Jonathon Cummings is a Professor of Management at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He holds a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University and has held academic positions at prestigious institutions, including MIT Sloan School of Management. His research interests focus on innovation and collaboration in geographically dispersed teams, particularly the dynamics of virtual teams within organizations. Cummings has published extensively in top-tier journals such as Management Science, Academy of Management Journal, and MIS Quarterly. His work explores critical themes such as teamwork coaching, knowledge creation in collaborative environments, and the impact of physical proximity on work interactions.
