Biography

Joseph (Joe) Moran is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at MIT Sloan School of Management. Joe is interested in the interplay of information, incentives, and decision-making in firms. He employs a wide array of research methods, including field experiments, surveys, and archival analyses in broad-sample settings. Joe earned his PhD in Accounting from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to his academic career, he worked as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers and served mid to large-sized private equity and family-owned businesses. Joe holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and is a licensed CPA (inactive) in Illinois.
