Juan Riveros is a seasoned harpist dedicated to bridging various styles and artistic avenues and fostering a fresh appreciation for the harp, an instrument with ancient and diverse traditions. Riveros premiered Sami Seif’s Harp Concerto in 2022, which was specifically written for him. He has collaborated with notable orchestras, such as the Cleveland Orchestra and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and has recorded significant works, including Ravel’s Introduction et Allegro. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Harp Performance and Music Theory from the Cleveland Institute of Music and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Music Theory at the University of Michigan. His teaching endeavors include masterclasses and undergraduate music theory courses, and he currently serves as an Instructor of Harp at Michigan State University. Riveros is also committed to providing accessible resources for performance practice and is an active member of the American Harp Society, focusing on diversity and inclusion initiatives.
