Biography

Judith Joseph is a Senior Public Involvement Advisor at the University of Southampton, focusing on Patient Public Involvement Engagement (PPIE) and providing support and advice on PPIE approaches. Her research specializes in developing digital interventions for self-management in health, utilizing a Person-Based Approach that emphasizes stakeholder co-production and mixed methods. Judith has extensive experience in optimizing interventions to be engaging, accessible, and effective, aimed at improving individual health and wellbeing. She has been involved in various research projects, including the iDiD Pilot Trial sponsored by Guys & St Thomas Charity. Judith completed her PhD in Human Factors at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton, holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. She has also worked as an e-learning Teaching Fellow in Research Methods and Statistics in Psychology, where she implemented behavioral programs to improve children's quality of life. Judith has a keen interest in mindfulness and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
