Dr. June Han

Biography

June Han is a lecturer in harp at the Yale School of Music, where she teaches graduate-level harp students. Recognized for her exceptional musicality and taste, she has received accolades from the New York Concert Review, highlighting her varied phrasing and innate sense of timing. Han has an impressive performance history, serving as a soloist, orchestral player, and chamber musician across the United States and Europe. She has collaborated with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the New York Philharmonic and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. An advocate for contemporary music, she has premiered works by modern composers and recorded for various labels. Han holds a Premier Prix in harp and chamber music from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, a Master of Music degree and Artist Diploma from the Yale School of Music, as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Juilliard School. Her contributions to music extend to teaching engagements at prestigious institutions such as the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University, and the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division.
