Biography

Justin Hsia is an Associate Teaching Professor at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle. His teaching focuses on lower division computer science engineering courses, with experience in subjects such as Computer Organization, Systems Programming, Digital Logic, Computer Science Principles, Circuits, and Control. Hsia is also interested in Embedded Systems and Computer-Aided Design (CAD), as well as Signals and Systems. He is actively involved in teacher development and has co-led the CSE General TA Training program. He has played a significant role as the CSE Summer Courses Coordinator and served as the UW High School faculty coordinator for the CSE110 course (Computer Science Principles) from 2017 to 2021. Hsia completed his education at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned his Ph.D., M.S., and dual B.S. degrees in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, contributing to the Networked Dynamical Systems Group under Professor Murat Arcak.
