Biography

Justin Kern is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he received his Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology in 2017. His research focuses on educational psychological measurement and the improvement of methods used to analyze multivariate data in the behavioral sciences. He has experience working collaboratively with the educational community to enhance measurement techniques that impact societal roles in selecting and diagnosing individuals. Kern has previously worked in the psychology department at the University of California, Merced during the 2017-2018 academic year before returning to Illinois in Fall 2018.
