K. M. Adam is a prominent figure in the field of New Testament studies, holding degrees in Philosophy (B.A.) from Bowdoin College, and Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Sacred Theology Master (S.T.M.) from Yale University, and a Ph.D. from Duke University. He began his academic career as an Assistant Professor of New Testament at Eckerd College from 1990 to 1994 and subsequently held similar positions at Princeton Theological Seminary (1995–1999) and Seabury Western Theological Seminary until 2008. His tenure at Duke University was marked by a visiting professorship from 2008 to 2009. Adam has been a lecturer at the University of Glasgow and served as a tutor at St Stephen’s House. Currently, he is a college lecturer in Theology at Oriel College and a lecturer on New Testament at Regent’s Park College. His research interests focus on Biblical Studies, specifically areas concerning the Epistle of James, the Gospel of Matthew, hermeneutics, critical theory, and the Hellenistic Judaic context of the New Testament, including studies related to the Secret Gospel of Mark. Adam is also involved in editorial work with the Biblical Interpretation Series published by Brill.
