Biography

K. Sudhir is the James L. Frank '32 Professor of Private Enterprise Management at Yale School of Management, where he has been a faculty member since 2001. He also serves as a Professor of Marketing and as the Director of the China India Insights Program. In addition, Sudhir holds a courtesy appointment in the Yale Economics Department. His research focuses on quantitative marketing, customer relationship management, digital marketing, and the roles of artificial intelligence in marketing organizations, particularly within emerging markets. He is a pioneer in applying structural empirical methods to marketing. His research methods include machine learning, quasi-experiments, and field experiments. Sudhir has received multiple awards for his outstanding papers in the field of quantitative marketing and has served as Editor-in-Chief of Marketing Science from 2016 to 2021, where he founded the Frontiers Section. He has been affiliated with numerous prestigious institutions such as MIT and INSEAD as a visiting fellow and has consulted for entities like IBM and American Express.
