Biography

Kajsa Dalrymple is a teaching faculty member in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She also serves as an honorary fellow at the Center for Journalism Ethics and is the Coordinator of the Social Impact Storytelling Institute. With over a decade of university teaching, research, and administrative experience, she has previously worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Iowa, focusing her research on media effects, persuasion, and environmental communication. At UW–Madison, she teaches several courses including J175 Digital Media Fluency, J203 Information Communication, J415 Science Environmental Journalism, and J658 Communication Research Methods, where she integrates social scientific theories into media practice to prepare students for thoughtful and impactful careers in communication. Through the Social Impact Storytelling Institute, she designs hands-on, community-engaged learning experiences in partnership with local media organizations and alumni. Dalrymple is also the founder of Dalrymple Advising, LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to curriculum design, program strategy, and storytelling initiatives for higher education and nonprofit organizations.
