Biography

Dr. Karen E. Rambo-Hernandez received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, specializing in Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment from the University of Connecticut in 2011. She joined Texas A&M University as an associate professor in the College of Education and Human Development in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture in 2019. Dr. Rambo-Hernandez's research interests revolve around innovative applications of multilevel and growth modeling, and assessment of educational interventions aimed at improving STEM education access for high-achieving underrepresented students. She has authored 50 peer-reviewed publications, 30 conference proceedings, 4 book chapters, and has made 17 invited presentations. Additionally, she serves on the editorial board for six academic journals, has advised numerous PhD and EdD students, and has served on multiple doctoral and master’s committees. Dr. Rambo-Hernandez has secured funding amounting to $11 million from organizations such as the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education.
