Dr. Karin Sternberg

Biography

Sternberg is a Visiting Lecturer at Cornell University with a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. She has an MBA with a specialization in banking from the Cooperative Education University in Karlsruhe, Germany. Sternberg completed her doctoral research at Yale University and her postdoctoral work at the University of Connecticut. She has held positions such as a research associate at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and School of Public Health. Her work has received funding from the National Institutes of Health for the development of a cognitive training program aimed at seniors. Her research interests blend psychological and behavioral research to enhance people's lives, and she is currently completing a textbook on child development for Oxford University Press, expected to be published in fall 2022. As an author, she has written several influential texts including a book on the psychology of love and has contributed to various edited volumes in cognitive psychology. Her experience also includes teaching courses that address human development and psychology.
