Dr. Karoline Kiefel

Biography

Karoline Kiefel holds a PhD in Germanic Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and a teaching degree from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She has developed and taught German language and culture courses at institutions in the U.S. and Germany. Prior to joining Yale, she worked as a coordinator of German courses at a language center at Paderborn University in Germany, served as an assistant instructor at the University of Texas at Austin, and was an adjunct lecturer and teaching fellow at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research interests include language motivation, language strategies, and virtual exchange programs.
