Dr. Kasper Vangkilde

Biography

Kasper Tang Vangkilde is an Associate Professor and Head of Studies in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen. His primary research interests are centered around business, organizational, and design anthropology, aiming to create new theoretical understandings of the sociocultural aspects of human life within corporations and organizations. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Business Anthropology and has held positions such as Head of the Graduate School of Social Sciences and Head of AnthroAnalysis. Currently, Vangkilde is engaged as the Principal Investigator on the research project 'RE-ANIMATE: Designs for Life-Enhancing Economies from an Anthropological Perspective', which seeks to explore new design visions for sustainable economic practices. His research includes engagement in life-enhancing design, sustainability issues, and the intersection of private and public organizational structures. He has previously conducted research in areas such as creativity, branding, and social innovation, contributing to a deeper understanding of design's role in society.
