Biography

Katherine Brichacek is a lecturer in the Engineering Society Program at the University of Southern California, where she focuses on philosophy, social political philosophy, ethics, and engineering education. She received her PhD in philosophy from Loyola University Chicago, where she emphasized feminist decolonial ethics and social philosophy. Prior to joining USC, she taught at Harold Washington College, Loyola University Chicago, and Northwestern University, where she has accumulated extensive teaching experience since 2012, covering philosophy, humanities, writing, and engineering communication at both undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to her teaching credentials, Dr. Brichacek has contributed to writing centers at DePaul University, Ashoka University, and the University of Chicago. Her research interests lie in applying feminist decolonial ethics within engineering education and writing pedagogy. She is a contributing author to the 5th edition of the textbook 'Business Communication: Polishing Professional Presence' published by Pearson.
