Dr. Kelly Blanchard

Biography

Kelly Blanchard is a Clinical Professor of Economics in the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business at Purdue University, where she has been teaching since 1998. She serves as the Associate Dean for Student Experience in Undergraduate Programs and has a strong focus on integrating research and teaching. Dr. Blanchard's research interests lie primarily in labor markets and higher education economics, and she also provides consulting services for clients engaged in antitrust litigation. Her expertise has supported well-known organizations, including the NCAA. Kelly completed her Ph.D. and M.S. in Economics at Purdue University and earned her B.S. in Economics from Wittenberg University. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of personal connection with students and the effective use of technology in enhancing learning, especially in large lecture settings. She has received recognition for her dedication to undergraduate teaching, including being named among the Top 50 Undergraduate Professors by Poets & Quants in 2018.
