Dr. Kerry Renzoni

Biography

Kerry Renzoni is a lecturer in Music Education at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts. With a rich academic background, she holds a B.M. in Harp Performance and Music Education from the Eastman School of Music and an M.M. in Music Education from the same institution. She completed her Ph.D. in Music Education from Temple University. Renzoni has previously served as an associate professor and music department chair at Buffalo State University, where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses focused on contemporary practices in music education, creativity, and assessment. She exhibits a commitment to enhancing children's musical contributions through dedicated programs like the Early Childhood Music Movement Program. Renzoni's teaching and research interests center on the role of environment, creativity, and improvisation in young children's music learning. She has contributed as an Online Editor for the International Journal of Music in Early Childhood, has held leadership positions in various music education associations, and has published works with several notable academic publishers. Accolades include the University Fellowship and the Presser Music Award, recognizing her contributions to the field.
