Biography

Kevin M. Murphy is the George J. Stigler Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus at the University of Chicago, where he has been part of the faculty since 1984. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1986. His distinguished career includes recognition as a fellow of the Econometric Society in 1993 and being awarded the John Bates Clark Medal in 1997.
