Professor Dr. Khen Elimelech

Biography

Khen Elimelech is a Lecturer in Computer Science at King's College London, where he leads the Autonomous Robots Lab. He has a robust background in robotics and artificial intelligence, having earned his PhD in the Robotics Autonomous Systems Program from the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology. Previously, he served as a postdoctoral research associate at Rice University, where he worked with renowned researchers such as Lydia Kavraki and Moshe Vardi. His research interests encompass robot autonomy, artificial intelligence, and lifelong learning, focusing specifically on task and motion planning, simultaneous localization and mapping, decision-making under uncertainty, and experience generalization. Elimelech's work aims to address fundamental challenges in AI, particularly in creating and representing autonomous decision-making processes.
