Biography

Kirsteen Watson is a Consultant in Public Health with a medical degree from Cambridge GKT, London. She has worked for a couple of years in Paediatrics and Neonatology before completing her Master's in Public Health at Harvard University in 2008, focusing on child public health. She has undergone postgraduate training in East England and previously served as a Public Health Consultant at Cambridgeshire County Council, where she created an outcomes framework aimed at improving healthcare for older people while leading the child public health portfolio. Kirsteen obtained her Master's in Medical Education with distinction from the University of Bedfordshire in 2009, focusing on faculty development and leadership in education. She currently holds the position of Training Programme Director, leading quality faculty development for the East of England Public Health Training Programme. Kirsteen is dedicated to developing public health skills within the clinical workforce, having led the expansion of Public Health training posts and established a successful teaching program for GP trainees in the East of England region. She has extensive experience in delivering regional faculty development training and tutors PGDip and MSt Medical Education courses at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education.
