Dr. Kostas Grigoriou

Biography

Kostas Grigoriou is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Purdue University, specializing in Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. He teaches courses such as Venture Creation, leading student teams in capstone projects. Having earned his PhD in Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from the Georgia Institute of Technology, he possesses extensive experience in building and funding new ventures. Kostas's career includes roles as an academic, strategy consultant, entrepreneur, and director of a venture studio. His mission focuses on developing future hybrid 'tech+business' leaders through practical experience in new venture creation. He aims to empower students to act as innovators and solve complex challenges, thereby creating value and driving economic impact. His expertise includes human-centric business design and building high-performing teams. He has led teams in developing B2B software solutions and has worked with various organizations to de-risk and accelerate venture creation across sectors such as industrial supply chain, healthcare, and finance. At Purdue, he has launched the Venture X program at the John Martinson Honors College, providing a structured pathway for students to explore and solve meaningful problems. In addition to his teaching duties, he is involved in student coaching and engagement with corporate partners, particularly through the Burton D Morgan Business Concept Competition.
