Biography

Kristen Shumbera graduated from the University of North Florida with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. After teaching kindergarten, she pursued a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education, graduating in May 2007. With over ten years of experience in public school classrooms, she transitioned to Texas A&M University, where she is currently working on a Doctorate of Education with a focus on teacher stress and burnout. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Kristen serves as an academic advisor for several programs, including Aggie Aspiring Educators Rising, SLAM, and FADE.
