Biography

Kyoko Masuda is a Professor of Japanese Linguistics at Georgia Tech, having joined the faculty in 2004. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2010 and to Professor in 2024. Her research focuses on Japanese Discourse, Language Acquisition, Cognitive Linguistics, and Sociocultural Theory. She has published extensively in reputed journals such as East Asian Pragmatics and the Modern Language Journal.
