In the 2022-2023 academic year, I served as a teaching and learning resources fellow at the Queen Rania Foundation in collaboration with the Education Endowment Foundation in Amman, Jordan. I have experience teaching Arabic and have previously lectured on language acquisition and sociolinguistics at several institutions, including Williams College, the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, the University of Texas at Austin, and Middlebury College. In the 2018-2019 academic year, I was a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. My research interests focus on noticing and attention in language (L2) development and the sociolinguistic development of L2 Arabic acquisition, as well as the interface between L2 research and pedagogy. My work has been published in peer-reviewed international journals. At Carnegie Mellon University, I am eager to work with students and colleagues at both the CMU and CMU-Q campuses to leverage my expertise and experiences in learning. I am passionate about advancing Arabic research and pedagogy.
