Biography

Larry Leung is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a PharmD. He completed a postgraduate Community Pharmacy Residency at UBC and has extensive experience in teaching and academic leadership. Larry is deeply committed to advancing pharmacy education through collaborative research and innovative program design, focusing significantly on decolonizing and indigenizing pharmacy education. He co-founded the educational research team UPROOT, which explores ways to enhance support for Indigenous pharmacy students and improve health equity. Larry has led numerous projects, including serving as the principal investigator on grants that aim to build resources for neurology education and support Indigenous health practices. He actively engages in interprofessional education and the role of pharmacists in neurology, particularly within Indigenous communities. His contributions to pharmacy education have been recognized through various teaching awards and presentations at national conferences.
