Dr. Larry Zhang

Biography

Larry Yueli Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University. His teaching and research interests encompass a wide range of topics including data structures, algorithms, computer organization, operating systems, computer networks, distributed systems, social network analysis, and computing education. Prior to joining York University, he completed his PhD in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto and worked as a faculty member in the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga. He also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Larry’s contributions to the field include efforts in curriculum development for new programs at York University’s Markham Campus, particularly in the areas of Computer Science and Software Development as well as Digital Technologies.
