Dr. Lars Andersson

Biography

Lars Gustaf Andersson is a Professor at Lund University, where he serves as the Director of the Film Studies Centre and the Creative Writing Program. He has extensive experience in research management, leading numerous projects in alternative film production and Swedish experimental cinema. His current research focuses on international Swedish experimental filmmakers from the 1920s to the present, with particular attention to the aesthetics and cultural contexts of their works. Andersson is also engaged in artistic educational processes related to music and literary creation, having collaborated with various researchers and institutions, including the Pufendorf Institute and the Creative Data Lab. His work contributes to the understanding of cultural practices and narratives within the scope of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through his research, Andersson fosters collaborations and engages in activities that explore the intersections of film, literature, and cultural identity, aiming to generate insights that are both academically and socially relevant.
