Biography

Laura Molway is a Senior Departmental Lecturer in Modern Languages Education at the University of Oxford. She serves as the Co-Director of the Education Deanery and is the subject lead for the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Modern Languages. In her role, Laura supervises higher degrees in language learning and language teacher education. Her teaching experience includes instructing languages at the secondary school level, where she developed a keen interest in teacher education by mentoring beginning language teachers during their school placements. Laura's doctoral research focused on the professional learning experiences and needs of in-service language teachers. Currently, she is involved in a project that compares the nature of instructed second and foreign language learning in secondary schools across England, Norway, and France.
