Biography

Le-Tuyen Nguyen is an Australian composer, researcher, and teacher affiliated with the School of Music at the Australian National University. He studied music education at the University of New South Wales and completed his doctorate at the Australian National University. His research focuses on creative ethnomusicology, practice-based research, Australian music and its Asian influences, as well as Vietnamese traditional music. Le-Tuyen has published bilingual works in both English and Vietnamese and has notable compositions such as 'Southern Vietnamese traditional music' and 'Staccato-harmonic duotone.' His performances span across Australia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Paris, and the USA, and he co-founded the Guihangtar Duo, collaborating with various musicians and ensembles.
