Biography

Lieke van Maastricht is an Assistant Professor at Radboud University, affiliated with the Centre for Language Studies and the Department of Language and Communication. She teaches courses on Spanish language culture, phonetics, and non-verbal communication at the undergraduate and master's levels. In her role, she also serves as the program coordinator for several academic programs, overseeing teaching coordination within the Communication and Information Studies domains. She is also researching the facilitating effects of gestures and individual differences in learners' contexts. Apart from her academic responsibilities, Lieke is a board member of the Dutch Association of Phonetic Sciences, representing her colleagues in various faculty councils and assemblies. Her ongoing project includes creating a Prosodic Proficiency Test Battery, supported by an NWO XS grant.
