Linda Nguyen is an Azrieli Accelerator Assistant Professor in Youth, Sibling, Community Engaged Research at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary. She completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences Honours Program with a Child Health Specialization at McMaster University in 2015, followed by a Master’s in Rehabilitation Science in 2017. Linda earned her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from McMaster University in 2022, focusing her dissertation on understanding the experiences of siblings of youth with disabilities as they transition to adulthood and navigate pediatric to adult healthcare systems. Her research aims to deepen the understanding of family-centred services and goal-setting for children and adolescents with disabilities. She has also participated in a postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University. Linda's work involves collaboration with diverse stakeholders nationally and internationally, engaging youth, families, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to enhance the support and transition for youth with disabilities. Her research interests include Childhood Disability, Family-centred Service, Transition to Adulthood, and Implementation Science, among others.
