Biography

Lisa Goodman is an Executive Professor and the Director of the Dee J. Kelly Law Library at Texas A&M University School of Law. With a strong background in legal research and library administration, she has dedicated her career to improving information literacy and open access. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies from Eastern Michigan University, Lisa pursued her Juris Doctor at Wayne State University Law School and obtained her Master of Library and Information Science from the same institution. Lisa has served in various leadership roles across several law schools, including Associate Law Librarian at Yale Law School and Interim Assistant Dean at LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She is passionate about teaching legal research to students, facilitating their development of critical thinking and information evaluation skills. Additionally, Lisa has achieved recognition for her contributions to diversity and leadership in the legal library community, being profiled in the American Association of Law Libraries' Celebrating Diversity publication. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and exploring different cultures. Her research interests focus on legal research, library administration, and information literacy.
