Biography

Lisa Warshaw is an Ed Tech entrepreneur and the head of the Communication Program at Wharton. She is the founder of the ed-tech company Peer Exchange and a communication teacher and consultant. Warshaw began her career at the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C. and later worked at Macquarie Bank in Sydney, Australia, before joining the University of Pennsylvania. She developed a patented concept to enhance online learning engagement, leading to the creation of Peer Exchange, which licenses technology to the University of Pennsylvania. Her teaching is enriched by her extensive experiences in 20 countries, providing insights into cultural influences on business communication practices. Her international work experience includes establishing an international trade finance division at Macquarie Bank and working in trade finance in Asia, Europe, and West Africa, as well as roles at Chase Manhattan Bank and the Bureau of Statistics in Washington D.C.
