Lisa joined Warwick Business School in 2017 and currently serves as the Associate Dean (Pedagogy) and is a member of the WBS Senior Management Group. Professionally qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Lisa has years of experience in audit practice with Deloitte and as part of the national audit training faculty at KPMG. She specializes in designing and delivering modules related to corporate reporting and audit, providing basic financial literacy for non-specialists as well as advanced courses on the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Integrated Reporting. Additionally, Lisa designs and delivers online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for qualified accountants and provides one-to-one coaching to senior finance professionals on specific matters impacting their roles, focusing on the implementation of IFRS. With strong ties to professional accountancy bodies, she carries out external work for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Prior to her tenure at Warwick, Lisa was a Senior Teaching Fellow and Programme Director at Aston Business School. In 2015, she was awarded Senior Fellowship by the Higher Education Academy in recognition of her excellence in teaching practice and commitment to the development of professional skills and competencies in academic teaching. In 2019, Lisa and her colleagues were shortlisted for the prestigious Finance Future Awards for their work in developing an educational business simulation that incorporates aspects of sustainability. Having worked in accounting education across the UK, EU, and further afield in the Far East and Caribbean, Lisa has presented CPD courses globally, spending considerable time in Hong Kong and China.
