Dr. Loes Keijsers

Biography

Loes Keijsers is a Professor of Clinical Child and Family Studies at the Department of Psychology, Education, and Child Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research interests focus on understanding the intricate relationships between teenagers and their parents to promote positive development and mental health. She employs advanced methodological approaches, including Experience Sampling Methods, to capture the daily mood fluctuations of adolescents. Loes is committed to translating her empirical work into practical applications, such as developing e-health tools aimed at preventing adolescent depression. She is also a TEDx speaker and has authored a book addressing the challenging behaviors of teenagers. Through her interdisciplinary collaborations, she strives to enhance the well-being of future generations by empirically assessing the daily lives of adolescents and translating scientific findings into effective practices.
