Ukrainian-born, Canadian pianist educator Luba Zuk graduated from McGill University and Conservatoire de Musique de la Province de Québec Montreal. She studied at Mozarteum Salzburg, Austria, and the University of Alberta Banff School of Fine Arts. Currently, Luba is an Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University. Additionally, Zuk is a member of the Luba Ireneus Zuk piano duo, which actively promotes Canadian Ukrainian music and has recorded for RCI-ACM and SNE labels. The duo undertook an extensive European tour performing exclusively Canadian composers, with notable performances cited in various outlets. Zuk has been recognized with awards, including the Shevchenko Medal from the Ukrainian Canadian Congress for her efforts in promoting Canadian Ukrainian composers.
